Announcing the details of the Hashmasks Tribe Competition

We’re delighted to announce the first Hashmasks Tribe competition. These details were previously shared on our Discord channel.

Qualifying tribes:

  • Tribe must have at least 5 active members
  • Tribe must be based on the Hashmasks characters and features
  • Tribe must be operating in their own discord server and listed in #directories
  • Inclusion of tribes will be done at the discretion of the Hashmask team.

General

  • This competition runs across the span of 4 weeks(starting 2/25/2021) comprising of 4 rounds
  • Each tribe must appoint tribe captain in Discord
  • Tribe captain can only be captain of one tribe during entire competition
  • The tournament bracket will be randomly set
  • There will be a discord channel for the competition

1st Round — Best Name + Mask Combo (16 teams)

  • Each tribe must nominate a single mask which contains the designation of the tribe for the best Name & Mask combo.
  • Name + Mask combo must stay the same for the entire competition without changing ownership
  • Tribes will have 3 days to nominate a mask. Voting will take place in the Discord by those who have the Hashmasker role(you need to own a mask to qualify for this role)
  • Masks must be nominated by 28/2/2021 @ 10PM GMT

2nd Round — Write a Story (8 teams)

  • Write a short story about your Mask + Name combo which is 2500 words or less in English.
  • Tribes will have 7 days to write a story. Voting will take place in the Discord by those who have the Hashmasker role(you need to own a mask to qualify for this role)
  • Stories must be submitted by 7/3/2021 @ 10PM GMT in a Google document format

3rd Round — Masks in the Real World (4 teams)

  • $500 budget per tribe to appointed tribe captain
  • All real world inclusion must be legal in the locality being displayed
  • Multiple pictures from 8 different angles must be submitted, video is acceptable(minimum 30s)
  • Best real world representation of Hashmask to be voted on.
  • Tribes will have 7 days to produce real world representation.
  • Voting will take place in the — Discord by those who have the Hashmasker role(you need to own a mask to qualify for this role)
  • Proof must be submitted by 14/3/2021 @ 10PM GMT

Final Round — Social Media Exposure (2 teams)

  • Winner will be the Hashmask (image) which receives the most posts/tweets/retweets from Instagram/Twitter “verified/blue check mark accounts. The scoring will be based on the total number of followers from all the accounts which posts/tweet/retweet the image of the Hashmask. The highest number of points wins.
  • Must be verified(e.g. Blue checkmark) account
  • Multiple posts/tweets/retweets/stories from the same account do not count as additional
  • Tweet/Post/Story/Retweet must include a tag of Hashmask Twitter account and picture of Hashmask selected by the tribe.
  • Posts/tweets/retweets/stories must occur during the time of the 4th round, not before, not after.
  • The 4th round starts on 14/3/2021 @ 10PM GMT and ends on 21/3/2021 @ 10PM GMT
  • Will take place over a full week.

Finalist A

  • 1 tweet from 2M followers (official verified/blue check mark)
  • 1 post on Instagram from 500K followers (official verified/blue check mark)
  • 1 retweet from 1.3M followers (official verified/blue check mark)

Total 3.8M points

Finalist B

  • 1 post on Instagram with 1M followers (official verified/blue check mark)
  • 1 tweet with 550K followers (official verified/blue check mark)
  • 1 tweet with 3.4M followers (official verified/blue check mark)

Total 4.95M points

Grand Prize

  • Winning Hashmask will be used in a very special way by a professional designer, along with the name and portion of the story.
  • Spot in Terra Virtua Hashmask exhibit

Other prizes for finalists will be announced during the tournament
